Our McAlister’s Deli teams in Waco are mobilizing this morning to try and provide as many boxed lunches and as much tea as we can take to do our small part to help with the West, TX relief efforts. It’s incredible to see our restaurant teams come together to lend support to neighbors and fellow Texans in need. So far we’ve been able to make contact with one local gymnasium where displaced residents are sheltered, the police and media command center, and an area hospital where doctors and nurses have worked throughout the night. We have at least 100 boxed lunches going to each of those three locations, which in the scheme of such tragedy is only a small thing we can do to try and lend support. We believe deeply in not just doing business in a community but truly being part of a community and when something happens in one of our towns or near one of our towns we have to pitch in and do something, anything. A huge thank you to the people who woke up early, answered the call, came in on their day off, and otherwise came together to get this food out the door and into the hands of people we can help. Our thoughts and prayers are with West, TX today.

It’s a new Saxton Group.

It’s with great pleasure and much excitement that The Saxton Group announces today that we are acquiring Bothwell Saxton. Today, we warmly welcome the BSR family into The Saxton Group.

Craig Bothwell has provided tremendous leadership over the growth and development of Bothwell Saxton Restaurants. While The Saxton Group has always been a partner in Bothwell Saxton, Craig has spent the past seven years developing a team of restaurant professionals that are serving highly satisfied customers across Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri. It is with total confidence that Craig leaves this team to The Saxton Group’s leadership where they will have the opportunity to continue to grow and meet their professional goals.

The “new” Saxton Group owns and operates 50 McAlister’s Deli locations and 4 Pinkberry locations across Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri. The Saxton Group is now the largest McAlister’s Deli franchisee, one of the top franchise organizations in the country, and expects to produce $100 million worth of sales in the coming year. We plan to add 5 or more locations a year and with that create opportunities for career advancement throughout our organization.

The Saxton Group’s Executive Chairman Kelly Saxton, President Kirk Lanier, Vice Presidents Adam Saxton and Matthew Saxton lead a company deeply dedicated to Genuine Hospitality and serving our guests at the very highest level. We believe that hospitality means more than service and that customers aren’t just customers – they’re our friends and neighbors too.

There is more exciting news coming in the New Year as we join these two organizations. Our People – every one of the women and men who serve our customers on a daily basis – are our greatest asset and soon we’ll announce new ways in which The Saxton Group will invest in our People.

Please stay in touch as we make more news in the coming months. If you haven’t already, please connect with us today on Facebook and Twitter.
