Kirk Lanier was first introduced to the restaurant industry when he took a position waiting tables at a Red Lobster in Pensacola, Florida, and through his hard work and determination earned enough promotions to find himself in the position of General Manager for one of the brand's most profitable restaurants. Kirk made a career move to become a General Manager for McAlister's Deli, and joined The Saxton Group in 1998 when Kelly Saxton began his expansion of the McAlister's Deli brand into Texas.
As part of The Saxton Group Team, Kirk has helped shape the organization and he sits on the Board of Directors. In October of 2011 Kirk was named President of The Saxton Group. He has lead the organization through successfully opening roughly four restaurants a year since 2002 and will continue to provide operational leadership over the company's future growth. Kirk heads all aspects of restaurant operations for The Saxton Group including the overseeing of store level management, regional management, human resources, and information technology. He has received recognition from McAlister's Deli in the form of the Operator of the Year Award and the Chairman's Circle Award from McAlister's Deli. Kirk is widely regarded as one of the top restaurant operators in the McAlister's Deli system and has been instrumental in establishing The Saxton Group as the system's leading McAlister's Deli franchisee.
Kirk resides in Dallas with his wife Kim and two children. He is a college basketball fanatic, and fills his free time with trips to the beach, snow skiing, golfing and spending time with his family.
